About the Mayor

Hon. Michael L. Galang is a distinguished public servant and transformative leader, currently serving as the Municipal Mayor of Floridablanca, Pampanga. Fondly called the “Soy ng Floridablanca,” he is widely recognized as the youngest elected Mayor in the municipality’s history. Mayor Galang exemplifies a new generation of leadership that is visionary, grounded, and committed to good and transformative governance.

Mayor Galang’s decade-long public service career is marked by integrity and results-driven leadership. He began as the youngest two-term Municipal Councilor and served three terms as Vice Mayor, where his leadership earned the Floridablanca Sangguniang Bayan the prestigious Local Legislative Award at the national level. Notably, he remains the only Vice Mayor in Pampanga to receive the Excellence in Public Service Award.

Throughout his career, Mayor Galang has received numerous accolades, such as the Outstanding Layman Service Award from the Department of Education – Pampanga and the Vision of Hammurabi Leadership Award from the PUP College of Engineering Honors’ Society.

A steadfast advocate for youth, family welfare, and ethical governance, Mayor Galang also champions agricultural development which is a passion deeply rooted in his upbringing as a farmer’s son from Barangay San Nicolas, Floridablanca.

Guided by his administration’s banner call, “Arangkada Floridablanca,” Mayor Galang believes that progress is a shared responsibility. He envisions a future shaped by empowered citizens, inclusive policies, and genuine service, proving that true leadership starts with being empowered and empowering others.
